This Rental Car Agreement  Agreement  is entered into between  Vroom Owner  and the  Renter . By signing below, the Renter agrees to all terms and conditions.

 1. Eligibility & Identification 

•   Renter must be  21 years or older with a valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Renter must present a  major credit card  in their own name for payment and deposit.
• Vroom reserves the right to decline rental to any individual for safety, fraud, or policy concerns.

2. Insurance Requirements

•  Renter must provide  active personal auto insurance  with liability and collision coverage for the entire rental period.
• Proof of insurance must be verified before vehicle release.
• Any lapse, denial, or insufficient coverage makes the Renter fully responsible for all losses.
• Renter agrees to cooperate with all insurance investigations and claims.

3. Payment, Deposits & Charges 

• .Vroom accepts  major credit cards only  for rental fees, deposits, and incidentals.
• A security deposit may be held until the vehicle is returned and inspected. - Renter authorizes Vroom to charge the card for:
• Damages, loss, or theft
• Tolls, tickets, and violations
• Fuel, cleaning, and smoking fees
• Excess mileage
• Administrative and recovery fees
• All charges are final and non‑refundable.

  4. Vehicle Condition & Inspection

• Renter acknowledges receiving the vehicle in clean, safe, and operable condition.
• Renter must return the vehicle in the  same condition , normal wear excepted.
• Any new damage, missing parts, stains, odors, or excessive dirt will result in additional charges.

5. Authorized Use 

The vehicle may  only  be operated by the Renter and approved additional drivers. The vehicle may  not  be used for:

• Racing, towing, off‑road driving, or reckless operation
• Transporting illegal goods
• Rideshare, delivery, or commercial use unless approved in writing
• Smoking or transporting pets (unless permitted by Vroom)

Violation of this section voids all protections and makes the Renter fully liable.

 6. Damage, Loss & Theft 

Renter is responsible for **all damage, loss, theft, vandalism, or misuse** of the vehicle unless covered by verified insurance.

•  Renter will be held accountable for:
• Repair costs
• Diminished value
• Loss of rental income (downtime)
•  Towing and storage
• Administrative fees
• Theft must be reported to law enforcement and Vroom immediately.

 7. Fuel, Mileage & Maintenance 

•  Vehicle must be returned with the  same fuel level as at pickup.
• Excess mileage fees apply if limits are exceeded.
• Renter must stop driving and notify Vroom immediately if warning lights appear or the vehicle becomes unsafe.

 8. Late Returns & Failure to Return 

•  Late returns may incur hourly or daily fees.
• Failure to return the vehicle within 24 hours of the scheduled time may be treated as  vehicle conversion , and law enforcement may be notified.

 9. Indemnification 

Renter agrees to indemnify and hold **Vroom** harmless from all claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from the use or operation of the vehicle.

 10. Termination 

Vroom may terminate this Agreement at any time for policy violations, unsafe behavior, or fraudulent activity. Renter must immediately return the vehicle upon request.
